I see there are less threads in this subcategory so here goes my question ;)

I am a forum owner myself. How do you deal with duplicate content? There are surely a few members who are just copy pasting content from other sites/forums. What can be done against it?

Duplicate content is very misunderstood , especially on forums.

But it all depends on how much we are talking bout , members quoting from other places or just posting the same thread in loads of forums you cant really do much about. Nor will it hurt your forum in the search engines , Google will either allow it to be indexed or it just wont index that page.

Ensuring you have correctly optmised your forum for On-page seo is the main thing you should worry about. Most people believe that Installing vbseo is enough but to make the difference you really need to go through it with a fine tooth comb :)
