1. I've started a massive SPAM purge, any accounts that have spammed are being removed, also for a short period new user signups are disallowed until the SPAM cleaning is finished.

Yes i do agree with you co.uk domains. A .co.uk domain name usually gets available after 90 days of expiry date.

Some of these replies are incorrect

once a domain expires it is at least 60 days , I think the last one I purchased expired oct 31
I was not able to purchase the domain Until Jan 4th , that would be aporoximately 65 days or so, it goes into two different change of status the last is pending delete which i believe it stays there 6 days

For .com domain you can renew it within 25 days after expiry other wise the domain will put into redemption period.

If your domain is deleted then you need to wait for 35 days, or if your domain is only expired then you need to wait for 75 days.

First you need to know the status of that domain then only you take next steps.

If the domain name says unavailable, Then someone else could have registered it. If you are in desperate need of the specific domain name, You can have a whois lookup on it from http://www.whoisxy.com/ . This could give you the registrant information. Through which you can contact the registrant for a domain bargain if he or she wishes to sell it.
