Have you tried entering in the correct username and password? Have you also enabled file sharing on the target computer?

Are you an admin? Because the computer is password protected, you will need the correct user name and password to enter it.

The computer is password protected, you have to use correct user name and password to enter into that computer. Are you admin? Or You have to check, are computers connected with same router or wireless connection?

You basically need to set up all of your computers in your network as workgroup. Each should be visible upon connections to your LAN especially once they're online in your LAN hub.

for accessing any computer on network we must have the permission's from the admin. For that you need password and username for that particular system and turn on sharing files and folders on your system. try to ping that ip for knowing connection b/w systems.

YES very well you can use any computer in the same network or same work group .
only thing is you should be a authentic user to use the particular computer , for that you need the user name and password to enter in to that system

You should not use the same name for all the computers in same IP, use different name Eg: workgroup1, workgroup2,.......
now check to access the computer in group network.

i think you need home network sharing, for that you have to create a same group of all computer then you have to share all drives or any drives that you want to access.

Use Teamviewer tool for sharing any system on the network. This tool is freely available.
