Do you need to hide your affiliate IDs? In some cases I am hesitant in revealing my affiliate ids. Surfers seem to avoid affiliate links. For one they look like spam.

I guess there are circumstances when you might wish to hide your ID's in the links but for the most part I just show them - keeps things nice and honest - it's not like I have anything to hide.

Not really. I'm fine even i'm using that common referrals id. Nothing wrong with that. But if you afraid someone want to hide their referrals link. Its also fine. Maybe they don't want anyone know their also join affiliate program too.

I click links with affiliate IDs if they provide a good content. Else I just ignore them because of my belief that they are perpetuators of spam.

    sometimes it is necessary

Sometimes it is necessary to hide affiliate link , I think so, to secure your affiliate earnings. Many times users who are generally new to internet get confused with such long strings. So I think it is better to hide link by banners or like this.

HTML is not enabled on every forum. It is a easy way to hacking if you keep HTML enabled. So not really a use..
