1. I've started a massive SPAM purge, any accounts that have spammed are being removed, also for a short period new user signups are disallowed until the SPAM cleaning is finished.

[h=2]Have you ever had your yahoo account hacked? My friend's was hacked a few months ago and his addresses were getting sent some nasty emails. He had to change his password and then he upgraded the security on his computer.[/h]

We change our passwords after a certain period of time. Be aware of hacking.

Installing FTP clients like FileZilla can lead to FTP password compromise. Filezillla actually stores all FTP info in plain text format and when you have certain type of virus infection on your desktop, the ftp info is sent to the attacker.

So use some ftp client like coreftp which encrypts password on storage

If you talk particularly about email passwords, its because:

    1. his computer had some key loggers installed
    2. He might have used an easy to guess password
    3. Somebody looked over his password when he is actually logging in to email.
