Google has a more relevant search index and have the market share of the people using their search engine , however yahoo is getting millions of visitors aday
I think Google is more useful than yahoo specially if you are trying to find images, Google gives a lot of related image with your querrie though in yahoo there is only few of them. In general they are both helpful with different function as a search engine.
While google might send your site a massive amount of traffic, yahoo traffic is more targeted and has about a 30% lower bounce rate.
I don't think this is a question these days. Google exceeds Yahoo almost in every aspect. I do think a good ranking in Google is more profitable than Yahoo or others.
With time I think it's just because when you actually find something on yahoo you are absolutely sure it's what you're looking for, especially in the long tail keyword chains.
The google search and indexing are at top notch .Comparing yahoo and google at this point is of no use. Google adsense and adwords have good hold in the market and most of the SEO are working on page rank based on search results. Yahoo has long way to go. Google has large share and rest follows. Google analytical ,google chrome and wave are almost hitting large set of audience.
For me google is the best....... for search, services what i use. i think google has taken 97% of the search engine market which i read in some article... So google is the best
I personally prefer Google because of it's market share and traffic quality for my specific websites...I have heard however that others have found that Bing and Yahoo gives better quality traffic for certain niches and SEO style.... Google should be a big consideration, but it doesn't really matter what I or anyone says...everything is case specific...look at your google analytics profile and dermine where the best organic traffic is coming from and then double down on a SEO strategy to increase that traffic from the referring search engine
