Ive never really played alot with Adsense, ive always literally just put it on the main positions of a site like top right etc.

With 1 advert i on one of my sites i have x6 the revenue over night, admittedly this particular site didnt earn much from adsense , normally around 0.60 per day which wasnt bad for doing nothing .

Since changing the ads slightly ( one in particular ) the site is now hitting from $3 to $9 per day over a period of 3 days , i dont think this is a spike as my other sites havent changed but will keep this updated to see how it goes. Currently today its sitting on $5 but there is still the busiest hours to come.

I agree that placement changes how your adsense performs. Types of ads (banner or link units) and color of ad text also are some factors to consider.

Location is a great thing to play with however changing colors, fonts and sizes also help you tweak the ads to your site.

Hey guys, I really want to know how to use adsense. AFAIK, we get revenue if someone click google ad in our sites. How come we can get something only by changing the ads, location, etc...?

Its been proven that cleaver positioning of ads on a site can increase click through , another thing is blending your ads to the same colours as your site.
