There are many free ways to promote your blog. The best way is to write articles relevant to your blog subject and submitt it to as many article directories as you can with blog link ofcourse. Other is by posting it to free advertising forums.

I wouldn't waste my time submitting to article directories. Joining in different communities, building a good relationship with them, leaving a useful comments on other blogs and subscribing to their feeds is enough for me to drive more traffic.

One thing you can do is to maintain your quality content and update it from time to time, 3x a week would be the ideal and G loves it. he will index your blog and the results are great. Plus you can also tweet in Twitter and submit classified ads for your blog site.

Yea, do some video blogging on sites like youtube, yahoo video, metacafe, dailymotion, veoh, vimeo,,, and some of the other video hosting sites.

Youtube is in the top 5 or top 10 websites in the world. Your going to get more exposure on youtube then you will one some articles directory that most people have never heard of.

Walk up to someone on the street, and tell them your doing a survey. Ask them if they have ever heard of youtube - chances are they will say "yes".

Then ask them if they have ever heard of the article directory your submitting to. Chances are they will say "no".

To promote your blog, you need to go to where the people are at. And million of people are on youtube every day.
