What is your favorite panel to use? For me, it doesn't really matter as long as it does the tasks I need it to do. I prefer cPanel though, but the panel won't prevent me from choosing one host over the other, unless one panel is missing crucial features needed to run a forum.

cPanel, I am most familiar with it.

I can also navigate around DirectAdmin too.

So if a host does not use cPanel would that discourage you from buying that particular host?

cPanel is a website management system which can basically control your whole website, edit files, make databases, make new emails etc

well cPanel is easiest to use too. it's like.. standard control panel. but if you've got a more requests from your panel, for example, if you want to tweek your server, you definetely need to choose Web Host Manager. if has more advanced features then cPanel so i'd say like this:

    -beginners: cPanel
    -advanced: Web Host Manager

personally. i love direct admin more. it much more simple and easy to understand. cpanel is too messy. why can't they make it simpler .. try using direct admin file management . compare it with cpanel file management.. and u'll know what i mean.

I personally feel that this is true of older versions of cPanel. However the new file manager in cPanel 11 is far superior (in my mind) to DA's.

DA is decent and it is stable but it is very simple and personally I like the tools and scripts that cPanel includes on the server from an admins point of view.

I also am very impressed with Interworx and their built in clustering.
