1. I've started a massive SPAM purge, any accounts that have spammed are being removed, also for a short period new user signups are disallowed until the SPAM cleaning is finished.

Get you domain name from trusted reliable providers. One of them are
www.thewebpole.com.Before getting a domain name ,make sure that domain name is not owned by others. if you need one which someone has you can backorder the domain . contact the respective domain holder for a bargain. The domain holder's contact information can be obtained from http://www.ip-details.com/ . Hope this helps

Once you buy domain name, should look for the deleted domain name, this will help the seo process, that domain would be in index of search engine.

If you are buying an existing domain then the domain authority and pr should be important. In case of a new domain i think it should be relevant to your websites topic and your business name if it is a corporate website.

You can use domain selection tool to help you choosing your domain like domjax.com, and its easy to know availability of a domain name. One more thing, if you choose a domain name that is a generic keyword domain name then, that site is anchored in the person's mind as being an authority for that particular niche (i.e. CanadaRealEstate.com) . This will make it much more easy to remember when the viewer wants to go to the site later.
