How many people here use dreamweaver for their templates or .html files or anything else? i use dreamweaver to make my sites only if i want to save time, im pretty good with html so i can use notepad anytimei want, but dreamweaver speeds up my process by almost two.

    anyone else use it?

Dreamweaver is also my favorite. This is a really proactive software. By the way I only use it to write xhtm and css files.

i use it for the same reasons as you, i have Dreamweaver 8 by the way, it has a few more features than Dreamweaver MX but MX also has few other features 8 doesnt lol, it all evens out, it saves me a lot more time than just dividing it by 2

i have dreamweaver MX too, along with flash MX, its great, it has some really useful short cuts, all html codes in its database with help building tables as well as menus, those would take me hours to complete by my self

Dreamweaver is the king of packages, it can be a wysiwig designer, or it can be a full blown coding animal. I use it all the time.

however now and again I have to use front page if a client has used it YUK!!!!!

    Hi there,

I prefer typing HTML/CSS/PHP/etc in the 'text editor' in Linux. I don't find Macromedia Dreamweaver speeds it up at all, I find the better you can type HTML, the quicker it is to produce.

Macromedia Dreamweaver is the best WYSIWYG out there, but I think, if you want to create HTML/CSS productively, you should type it yourself.

    Regards,
    Kieran Taylor.

Dreamweaver is great, If you get the chance check out the video training for it from total training - I just started watching it and have come across a couple of features I didn't know about that will save me time.

Macromedia's Dreamweaver is definitely a good IDE. You can spend more time thinking of solutions rather than making iterative codes if you use Dreamweaver. I wonder if there is an IDE around which can give Dreamweaver a run for its money.
