Dreamweaver,which version and is it easy to use.

I have never used Dreamweaver so i would like to ask our Learned friends which version is the best and i only need a basic version and how hard is it to learn.Would throwing the manual that comes with Dreamweaver away and using something like the Big dummies guide be a good combination.

What would be a fair prices to pay for it as i do have Scottish blood running in my vains :
