Do follow is where you will get backlink and No follow is where you will not back link to your site.

Google doesn't give any weightage to nofollow links, and it doesn't pass link juice.

The last statement of the post is indeed the most important thing to remember when doing link exchange and posting links to your website even if it's just in your link partner directories. Credibility is such an important thing now that Google Algorithm somehow level up in putting down spam sites.

    re:

Will you elaborate few more things about above statement. I am quite interested to know more about it. Actually when I am doing online marketing of our website usually I really don't care about do-follow or no-follow tag. As I am always give top priority those back-links, which provide a good number of targeted visitors.

Yes only dofollow backlinks are able to generate more traffic as well as rank your keyword position well in SERPs. On the other hand, nofollow links generate traffic only, no impact on keyword ranking.

Yup, except Google, other search engines such Yahoo and Bing consider it as a backlink and gives a lot of value to it.

I completely agree with this point. As far i know -No follow can generate traffic but cannot be used as back links in any search engine.

    re:

It really depends what you mean by back links. Some people prefer back links for targeted traffic and some people consider it for page rank optimizations. Whatever, it is why should we care? :sleepy:
