DoFollow VS NoFollow – Whats the Difference?

Dofollow and nofollow are the link attributes attached to a link on any website to assist the search engine about its quality. Webmasters use this service heavily to tell search engines whether the link posted on their website is a reliable one or not. It helps the search engine to determine if the website wishes to link their page to the mentioned link, so that the visitors could have more information about their desired topic. The dofollow link on a website means that it thinks that a link is credible enough to be listed on their website and they would recommend other users and search engine robots to follow this link. This is great for the link which is followed because this would increase its traffic and page rank in Google, on the other hand no harm would be done to the one who mentions this link.The NoFollow attributes state that the link would be mentioned on the webpage, but the owner does not think its credible enough to be followed. This attribute is generally for the commenting section and advertising, when the website is not aware of the content on the website they are linking to. DoFollow links for website that are blacklisted by Google would be harmful for the publisher, as it would result in the decrease of their own page rank. So it’s advised that only follow those links which you know would not harm your own page rank.

No follow links too can generate traffic. The only difference is it won't pass PR link juice.

Do follow can give you backlinks and traffic as well unlike no follow, you ca only get traffic and not giving much weight in terms of linking of links.

there is only and major different between do follow or nofollow if you want to get any benefits from Google then try to gt links from only dofollow site else go to nofollow

Where did you get the source of this? can post it in here please. As far as i know no follow link are, yes can generate traffic but not counting as backlink even in other search engine. I never encounter such things like that.

Whether its nofollow or dofollow links it's still links for the site. It helps your website one way or the other.

DoFollow Blogs

I’m afraid I must disagree.

All links are NOT treated equally.

The “NoFollow” command tells the Bots not to follow the link and to pass no PR to the link. Not much use IMHO.

The “DoFollow” command tells the Bots to follow the link and spread the PR love.

I won’t waste my time on “NoFollow” Blogs.

I find that only google has really not indexed nofollow links. Yahoo and bing seems to be picking up some of them.

Google Search Engine doesn't count the NoFollow as backlink while Yahoo are still counted as backlink which means Yahoo Search Engine are doesn't matter if it's DoFollow or NoFollow Link.

Dofollow is better than nofollow because google will count the dofollow link and use them for calculate the Pagerank.

Can also pass the PR juice to DoFollow link. That is the algorithm of Google's PR.

SEO is time and labor-intensive, so I wouldn't focus my efforts on no-follow links. Only go after those links that will add link juice to your site.
