1. I've started a massive SPAM purge, any accounts that have spammed are being removed, also for a short period new user signups are disallowed until the SPAM cleaning is finished.

Do you still use twitter?

I'm new to affiliate marketing. I currently have 5 twitter accounts. If fact I just left there to come here. It's easy but takes time to build up followers. Haven't seen financial benefit yet. But it will happen.

Used Twitter for a while but did not really get into it. Don't they have "NoFollow" set for any links you post? I also recently heard that Google uses real time serach so how does that play into effect with the "NoFollow" link attribute? I am sure it is good for attracting new visitors though.

I also hate that you can only post 140 or 160 characters at a time......

twitter is so time consuming...some followers you do not want. just because you have followers don't mean that they are good followers :)

I use it. Having about 300 followers, zero benefits.

I get daily 6 to 7 visits from twitter so I still like twitter but wondering the visits are spammers.

    Yes and no.

I, personally, don't use it. But I still have an account and am using Twitterfeed to post new articles to it, it doesn't get that many visitors but seeing as I don't have to put any work in it's 100% effective!

yes i do use it very often, its still the most effective social networking site for promotion and its a very big source of traffic so i don't see any reason for not to use it.

I think Twitter is a good traffic generator if you have constant regular content that appeals to a niche customer base...I run so many websites if my customer doesn't supply content for me to tweet I wont even consider it...it is too time consuming.

Twitter can be useful, but like many things needs work - it's no good just spamming the same message 20 times a day!
