Ive seen on every forum related to webmaster stuff that there are whole sections dedicated to DMOZ ??????

Whats with this ? is it really worth getting your site in it ? confuses me a bit haha

Well, my site is somewhere (i forgot the category  ) on DMOZ... and it has no added value at all...

Don't bother with DMOZ. The best you can do is add your site and forget about it. And maybe, within a couple of months (years) it will be added.
But don't get desperate if it doesn't :):

Its defiantly worth submitting too but dont stress that you dont get accepted or it takes ages to get in to it, ive been very lucky with the niche's im in as they all have really good category editors and they get approved really fast.

Why is it worth submitting too ? , basically every so often DMOZ exports their database so that other sites/directory's can use it , one of them for example is google directory.

I think there is some where near 200 other directorys that use dmoz data ( well the ones worth talking about anyway ) so when you get accepted into dmoz you also get accepted to them, no way you look at it is going to be a bad thing as its 200 or more free backlinks that with have a somekind of authority.

Submit.....Forget......check in around 3 months, if its not listed make sure you follow all the guide line and submit again
