Hi,

Google has started Considering the Load Time as an Important Factor while Ranking a Website at Index time.

The Time For Loading A Web Site Depends Mostly On:

1. The number / size of external resources included in the site.(Images , Feeds)

2. If Images are not properly optimized and resized. (Large and Heavy Images)

3. The database queries executed while the site loads. (Many database queries at the same time)

4. Use More Flashy Effects and High Resolutions Images. (If Flash has been used with heavy images)

I Hope This Information Helpful For You All.

Thanks.

Hello,
images play an important rule when it comes to graphic design websites. Flash intros are one of the main reason why sites a lot of time.

In my view even if google considers it or not, your web readers or customers do get annoyed with uploading time and if it takes long, soon your traffic stats will tell you the story.

Thanks.

The probable and possible reasons for sites to load slowly are as follows.
1) Does site is load balanced? If not, then site is not deployed to handle user traffic load.

2) Check for unused HTML formatting. There are redundant tags and table construct that might have hinder performance.

3) Check the dependency on technology if .net app then checks for Viewstate. One must optimized Viewstate for better performance. Check for debug option is false in web.config. Use http compression in IIS for better server and client transmission of data. Check for database is single hit for one job or multiple hits for similar job.

4) There are various issues that may contribute to low performance. Check the network in which application is deployed. Your web server and database server is also makes lot of sense. Are these servers are in same box or geographically located in different domain or network.

Some of the main reasons why I see that sites load slow - Cheap server and large images.

Its amazing how many people use the cheapest server then can, then complain when the site loads slow.

And its even more amazing when people use header images that are over 1 meg.
