Link building methods which are yet effective in developing Google SERP are : 1- Links from web 2.0 sites like Squidoo, Hubpages etc. 2- Links from quality article submission sites like ezinearticles etc. My suggestion is to not use spinned articles becaaue those will not really work after Google latest PANDA algorithm update. 3- Links from press release sites. 4- Get back links through blog comments but try to get links from blog pages which have good Google PR & low external links. Don't try to get back links from pages which are already spammed with 100s of other links. 5- Back links from social bookmarking sites still working fine but use it efficiently so that Google will see that the bookmarking is done naturally. Use high quality sites like Digg, Stumble Upon, Delicious etc, don't go over all the low quality social bookmarking sites & create links. 6- Get back links from relevant forums through signature & also add links on posts where you find it's suitable. But don't try to spam the post by adding link in it, there's chances of getting ban for it. Be an active & valuable member in forums. 7- You can also create high quality back links through article submission on nice blogs as guest blogger. This type of links are quite effective these days. 8- Participate in Q&A sites like Yahoo Answers to get good quality back links. 9- Getting links from directories are also helpful but before getting a link from any directories check the quality of that directory otherwise chances are there that Google may penalize you for it. 10- Social media is the latest trend in getting back links. Dominate it through your uniqueness. 11- Link request also works but difficult to get such links. 12- Profile links are not really helpful as most of them are not even indexed by Google. Always concentrate on quality of back links, not the quantity of links because few high quality links can show you nice results in Google SERP but 1000s of low quality back links can't. And I expect that links from blog comments will not be much effective in future, only blog comment links from high quality sites will be effective.
