I thought id just inform everyone of some changes of the configuration of the board.

    1. From now on the forum will automatically close threads which havent been posted in for 3 months, you will now see this little notice at the bottom of each thread explaining this :

This has been done to stop people bring up 2 year old threads when they could actually create a new thread on the topic which would be more upto date, so basically we want to keep topics nice and fresh.

It also stops Page rank hunters from just posting in a thread to get their signature link showing in a thread with Page rank.

    2. Also we have now disabled posting in the marketplace unless the member has more than 15 posts, i think the reason is obvious to everyone , This is also the case with signatures and posting links with in threads . Everything takes 15 posts to be enabled.

We are hoping that this will increase activity even more with in the discussion topics as the forum grows.

You might think that this will increase people trying to boost their post count with spammy , pointless posts? Well it may do but they will be banned and all their posts deleted pretty fast so all their hard work spamming will have gone to waste.

Thank you for joining Triphp and we hope these changes will make the community even better.

    Have a good day.

Yes, everyone is welcome here as long as they keep it up to the good spirit of sharing knowledge and giving help with replies in their area of expertise. Feel free to participate, gain and spread information, receive and give replies to topics of your interest.
For those who are just trying to drop a link or two - we're watching you and your "content" will not "prosper" here.
Let's keep the forum clean and useful!

I already have 15 posts now, does it take time for the permissions to be enabled?
