I currently pay £8.50 + VAT for a .co.uk domain name via my hosting company (Streamline). Streamline then charges us £90 per year to host 10 domains.

Is this a reasonable deal? Or should I be looking elsewhere?

Can I know the extensions of those domains?

£90 is quite alot for 10 domains if they are .coms

goldy, seems to me as if he's talking about a domain host, not web host.

Thanks Riverwire - I will check them out.

With regards to hosting - I'm sorry I may well have used the wrong term in my original post. Once I've created websites, Streamline will host 10 websites for £90 per year - I was wondering if there were other hosting companies out there that offer reliable hosting for less??

That depends on what they offer, if you dont mind hosting all sites on the same ip address then sure there are quite alot of places that is cheaper than that.

Are you looking to keep it in the UK though ? Uk Hosts are slightly more expensive, especially the less well known ones.

There are many hosting companies out here which will give you a starter kick off for a reasonable rate with the resource provisions.

I myself own two servers and provide hosting. You may look at this topic here: http://forum.triphp.com/hosting-offers/7532-wjunk-webhosting-offer-triphp.html

If you like anything there, you may get in touch with me. :)

Many thanks to everyone who has replied.

Yes I definitely want a UK host as most of my customers are small businesses after the local market. My websites tend to be smallish brochure style websites, sometimes with a picture gallery but I do not (currently) do ecommerce although might in the future.
