Can Children be good admins?

I believe so, i own my website (I NEED MEMBERS!!! Click me and then click homepage web) i amdin on 2 others (one i shut down, the maker uploaded some things that had trojans, and the trojans won't leave) and i admin on occasion at Zelda Legion during hack threats (i backup all the files)

True I spose on how mature they are.. But most don't come across as mature. I'm about to have a go at a few people on my site who think they have the right of way to do what they wish and not abide by the rules

Depends on how mature they are. But in the end, children gets the best forums, mostly. Because they can dedicate the most time to it.

13-18 years old. I think its fine because i can see many kid become and admin for some godo forum and website. But what i don't like it many forum handle by them just become useless and scam many people. Thats why i not really like for some site or forum handle by admin..

Actually speedjammer, it never reached that many posts nor members, over exagerating doesnt help. Also you didnt do it by yourself, considering you left for around 1 month.

Certainly, I have seen teens make some incredibly good forums.

But you have probably seen many more teens make failing forums. And do you consider all teens children? I believe once you hit 15 you are no longer a child, since you start high school, which I think makes you more of an adult than a child. Still, 14 and younger are children, but still can be more mature than some college kids are at times .

In England you start High School at 11

And I do not think it makes any difference as to your age, your still the same person in a couple of years are you not?

yes you can i started making forums at 12 didnt go so well my current fourm is growing rapidly then ever before

I've also seen many more adults make failures of a forum then create a huge community, I think the ratio is probably better for the younger people as there will be less members of that group creating forums, less created less can fail.

Well I am 14 turning 15 in 2 months and I have been running forums since the age of 12. I started of using InvisionFree, then moved on to Invision Power Board when my dad bought me a license for Christmas, since then I have moved onto vBulletin and I've been told I am very mature, thats because I don't think immaturity gets you anywhere in life. There a guidelines in a real job, and when I make a forum, I believe it is my job. So I am mature in doing what needs doing.

Also, with regards to my best board, it was a while back, when I was 13 infact, and it was called Slim Styling. And it was a board devoted to making website templates without CSS files. I had over 5,000 members and over 200,000 posts. However, due to an illness I received, I was forced to close the board because no money could be put into it, and I was the only admin, meaning nobody else could take over. I could have assigned one, but decided it was best to close it.

I am currently in the process of considering opening again though.

Exactly, a teen running a bigger forum than the average adult.
