When I used Wordpress there was some sort of stats plugin they had where you could view stats through the wordpress website. Also, check out the normal Google Analaytics etc. Feedburner too for monitoring RSS subscribers :D

I'm sure that newer member Jamie from jamieharrop.com could help you here, he recently made a post about new wordpress plugins he was looking through at his blog.

    Hey Midlandi,

The only software I use is 'Live!'. This isn't a stats program as such, but does display a live display of visitors to your WordPress blog. Each time a new visitor enters your blog, it outputs the page they are on, what page they were referred from, and their IP address. It also records comments and RSS feed hits. It's a very basic stats system, which I mainly use to track how my visitors move around my site. It was particularly useful when I got my first StumbleUpon traffic. I was able to track the traffic in real time and find out how many visitors from Stumble were navigating elsewhere around my site (after many hours of analysis with Live and Analytics, I found out not a single visitor went to a second page on my site).

The plugin can be downloaded here.

To be honest, I'm not aware of a traditional stats plugin. At least not one which stands out above all others. There are plenty in the WordPress Codex, but there doesn't seem to be one that dominates the market. http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Statistics

One I'm about to install is Google Analyticator. It was recommended to me by Andrew at Go Blog when he wrote a comment on my WordPress plugins post. In it's most basic sense, it adds the Google Analytics Javascript code to all WordPress pages. However, it also has a few extra features, such as automatically tracking all outbound links. This is a big feature for me because I like to know how many times my RSS feed links have been clicked.

    Jamie,

Thanks for the great advise. Intreresting point you made about finding out no body visited a second page, thats good info to know, but did that set you to make any changes to improve that?
