Best place to put ads?

Where do you think the best place to put your ads is? I like right after the first post, like this forum, it gets a lot of attention that way.

Yes, the ads show up on the first and last post in each topic here. Those are my favorite positions as well.

I don't know about after the posts, mainly just after the first post, it gets a lot of attention from members.

i like putting them at the bottom of the forum. it wouldnt get as much clicks as it would up top, but it is more convenient to the users

Different ads call for different places.. I have the google ads after the first post at VACF but i also have a separate program.. DME.. At the bottom .. Which are by click links.. ie.. the "Shoot the basketball 20 times to win"... i cant tell you how many times i have pressed it 19 times on peoples sites

For revenue its the 728 by 90 skyscraper on the forum, but for convenience after the first post and footer.

i think it depends on website layout and topic. In blogging ads after post works well if posts are short. Also ads in Rectangle format works great.
