Hey guys. I've been looking to expand some of my sites and am looking into Adwords. What are your thoughts regarding PPC advertising compared to paying monthly for an advertisement on a website? Also,do you have any tips for setting up a successful Adwords campaign?
Personally i dont like using PPC , ive never really seen any real results from PPC apart from costing me alot of money, i would personally rather spend the money on banner adverts on highly related sites ( unless you are promoting an affiliate site then maybe PPC would be a better bet ) Just my opinion
Adwords is fine if you actually make good conversions and make some money out of it , Banners on the other hand will last longer for your money and has the potential to bring you more visitors if you choose the right place to advertise
Adword is fine and a good way to make money but the act is to take money out of it , its more complex than it seems to be but works for us everytime.
personally I do not like PPC becasue sometime its feel that its waste of money and you will not get genuine leads and PPC is not suitable for middle level business.
I'm using google adwords but have no success with it. It is true that my sales are more now, but this the search engines bring me the buyers. My suggestion is to invest in link building and SEO that money and you will have a long term success if you can rank high. IMO.
The latest approach for PPC I'm using is the following: 1) I start normal, absolutely organic/techy on site optimisation 2) wait until site gets indexed well 3) start a lil linkies 4) grab a coupon if possible 5) wait for the proper moment while keep on boosting it "organically" 6) hit a very well optimized and totally cheap one-off PPC campaign using the coupon code(s) 7) stop the campaign without paying any further If all your prior strategy has been good, well planned and effort really precise distributed, and if you manage to "hack customers' minds" they will remember it and will come back. Enough feeding the big Google as little as a few currency units ( the ones required to roll in the coupon ).
A PPC campaign is a very effective way of getting highly targeted traffic to your site. If you say it doesn't work then you aren't doing it right. All my PPC traffic dont go direct to the website, they go to a landing page that redirects them to my homepage....I refuse to pay for traffic and then have them enjoy my sight and not at least get their email so I can add them to an email blast...don't make the same mistake.
it is a good way, but first , you must make sure that your site have a good traffic, so that you can earn money!
I agree with you, you must make sure that your site have a good traffic and also you need to search a good keywords to earn money.
adwords is good for big companies who hav a suitable keyword dedicated to the niche, adwords can help your website gain targetted traffic from google, you need to spent bucks for adwords

Totally agreed with D79312, Google ad-words is really effective and can able to give you results in short time, According to me SEO+Google Ad-words=Success.
