For people that might be interested in going the video blogging route, I would like to share some of my experiences with you.

Youtube has millions of videos on just about every topic. When I started video blogging, I knew that I wanted to be different. Being different is the only way to draw attention to yourself.

My blog and forum are about hiking, camping, hunting,,,,. Instead of making videos of stuff around the house, I wanted to make lots of videos of actually being out in the woods.

Some of these videos ask a question of the viewer, such as what kind of snake this is. This creates quality content, and at the same time asking the viewer for feedback. This creates a 2 dimensional website. Not only am I showing you something, but I am asking for your reply. These types of videos usually get lots of comments.

If you are considering video blogging, you need to make your blog different somehow. Do not just sit behind a computer desk and use your webcam.

Get outside, interact with other people, get their opinions on things and get yourself established.

Yes, man, I always enjoy your videos - it's obvious that they're real, not fake ;)

Thank you. Yea, it would be difficult to fake a turned over house with my budget. You just gotta make due with what you have on hand.

I really liked your video about snake bites. They're both very good, and it was a really good idea to make them.

Video blogging is something that is very useful today as a form of marketing strategy by the used of video. It can be a combination of embedded video or a video link with supporting text, images, and other metadata. Entries can be recorded in one take or cut into multiple parts and made regularly.

But if your gonna video blog, you have to be different them everyone else. You have to be willing to do stuff that other people will not do.

A few months ago I bought a water proof point and shoot camera just to do videos like this. I went out in the rain and filmed several videos, this is one of them. I even dunk the camera under the water in a stream to prove that its waterproof.

During one trip to the woods while it was raining, I filmed enough footage to make 3, maybe 4 videos.
