Google Xml sitemap issue

Hi,

I have a problem. I hope some of you can help me fix it. I am looking forward to hearing from you all.

I have an XML sitemap. It has been built by Google specification. I tried to validate the XML recently. I was shocked to get a warning. It said that I don’t have DOCTYPE defined. I tried another approach but it didn’t work. Can you guys trace the problem? Can someone suggest the DOCTYPE I need for basic XML? I will be really grateful to you. Please help me solve my problem. Thanks a million in advance.

If i am not using a CMS that provides the function of a sitemap though an addon i always use this : XML Sitemap Tool for Google Yahoo MSN

It will crawl your site and create a valid sitemap for you

Not sure how to help you with that one, but if you are looking for an alternative to create, generate and submit sitemaps, try Sitemap Writer Pro program. This program won't give you errors like that.

XML sitemap are helpful to sites because it can drive traffic and it can guide search engine to visit different pages of your site.

if you can provide with link, may be i can try see what the problem is.. i am not expert in solving, but i have also had errors and fixed it, and now working fine.
